Projects

I’ve been working on an iPad, iPhone and iPod touch application, Yi Jing - Book of Changes. The screen shots above are from the initial iPhone release. This project has enabled me to directly learn more about iOS development and the iOS developer ecosystem, such as:

  1. UIKit—UITableView, UITextView, UIImage, custom views

  2. Animations, Core Graphics, audio sound effects, gestures

  3. NSDictionary, plists, Settings

  4. Universal app (iPad and iPhone/iPod touch)

  5. sqlite databases

  6. In-app purchases

  7. Retina display

  8. Localization into more than seven languages

  9. Incorporating a third-party physics engine library

  10. Working with icon artists

  11. Negotiating content licenses with publishers and authors
